OK, watched them, very impressive. I've gone limp on the chinese copy I posted earlier.

These (specifically the 25hp 1.6 tonne job) are really getting me hot.

Tntree,

Many thanks for dedicating your time and equipment to the Saluting Branches effort. Much appreciated, my friend.

Now if only that rake / broom thngy could be mounted on my three-point hitch. I have a Kubota compact tractor with loader, landscape rake, and rotary front mounted broom. I'd prefer to have that rake/broom on the rear with the loader mounted up front.

Joel

I don't think it would be hard to make that happen. A little welding goes a long way. I grab mine with my Mini ex thumb often to do the heavy raking.

I make one that clamps to a bucket, or one you can grab with a bucket grapple. I'll post a video Monday when I get back to my desktop

Or youtube "grabrake 2014"

Here's how to embed videos;

1) Do NOT copy/paste the page url.
2) Click the "share" button - a embed button will appear underneath/to the left.
3) Scroll down and click the "embed" button - a blue highlighted address will appear.
4) Copy/paste THAT address in your post.

I always wanted one of those. So badly I'd abuse my bmg grapple and use it as a rake at times. Lol.

Flushcut if you don't mind what type of situations make you want to use the rake?

When I bought my Avant and BMG and a bunch of implements from Carl I thought the rake was one thing I could do without and save a bit of money.

I try to run all my brush through a chipper in supper clean condition and the only time I think I would really want one is when I drop an aged dead tree in a field. Then I could see wanting one to corral the thousands of small non chip-able pieces.

You're right about that Merle. Mine gets used mostly when we have several dead Bl Oaks coming down. Like EAB killed Ash, they explode when they hit the ground. Lots of cleanup to say the least. I think those with clam trucks would appreciate the rake most. Or, those with machines that lift high enough to drop a bagster into the truck.

It gets used mostly on large areas where the trees get flopped. I use it to push snow out of yards during the winter the day before so the ground freezes and makes clean up easier and to spread piles of chips around the yard, works very well.

Huh, thanks guys. I might have to re-evaluate and get Carl to have one sent here at some point. We have a fungus killing pine trees along the coast by the dozens. Home owners/ranches are turning a blind eye to it for a while but at some point there will be a lot of tree work and clean up that is non chipable.

The same concept can be bolted to a Bucket or pallet forks - I have some 3 pts - be pretty easy to whip one up

rake is great when things are flat.......sold mine since it only worked when we had a parking lot type job. too many wavy yards around here

You are right on Biv, it does not like wavy yards. Sorry about that sale,
I will remember to bring that up with all future buyers
but on flat ground with a big mess it is pretty sweet

This is a really old Vid, shows that it pushs snow pretty well . back then it had 2 pin on arms
what is really cool about my business is customers help me improve my products,
the non pin design came from an end user

I second that. Those rakes are badass when needed
