Curious on time it takes to change crank bearings and seal on clutch side and the good bad and ugly about the WA8XS family. To my knowledge these are like the ms series and more homeowner than pro but for the cost of seals and fix time?
I come across a lot of the ms 290's with bad crank bearings, are they noted for this or are all the ones I'm coming across just been run with over tight chains?
I could use the IPL if anyone has it also.
As always thanks in advance.

I can probabley fire you off an IPL if I have one on PDF via E-mail .Give me a day or so to sort though my stash .If I have one I'll fire you off a PM and you can send me an e-mail addy .

As far as the 029-039 they don't hold up well in the tree service business .Conversely they seem to hold up okay as a consumer saw .

They are a clam shell engine so changing a bearing should be relatively easy .

It takes the same size bearing on both sides as well as the same seal .If I'm not mistaken Northwood saw has them for around 10 bucks a pop .
