Motorcycling.

Wow, Dave. The thing looks like it's almost airborne even sitting still! Try to keep it down to double digits, will ya? 8)

Thanks, guys. It is a big difference, but the Ural was just an exercise in trying to sidetrack my first love, which is road riding. It's kind of like climbing trees, something as you get older you are suppose to have more sense about, at least enough so as to do something less risky.

But as you can tell, I have thrown up my hands on that also...I have fully surrendered. I love climbing trees. I love fast motorcycles.

Dave

My first bike was a Suzuki Titan T500; a two cylinder 500cc two-stroke. Second bike was the 1978 XS750 shaft drive triple Yamaha.
Next bike was a 1974 BMW R90/6. Rode that one countless miles all over the US and Canada.
One friend rode a Ducati, another had a Norton Commando, and we'd trade bikes on long trips, though they hated the 'buzz' and vibration of the Yamaha.
(the low-slung, long wheelbase design of the Suzuki seemed to be an attempt at copying the lines of a British bikes)

...and now I don't ride...

Different one I picked up this summer. 10K since July 7th.
Thinking about running the Dragon/Deals gap and the Blue ridge parkway yet this month.:)

#4 is about at the limit, isn't he!

Nice pics.

I guess you could say that! he won that race and went on to claim the 2010 AMA Superbike Championship. Notice him backing it into this corner;

Oh yeah, said I was going riding. Here was my route. Perfect day, though a little chilly at first. The pics are on one of the finest stretches of pavement you are likely to find. Garwood,WV to Spanishburg, WV is pure bliss on two wheels.

So I bought and sold a 1999 VFR 800 to raise some funds, sold my R6 to a guy in Germany, intended to be sensible, but bought this instead :)

any of yall ride in a Aerostich suit?

Dunno what you mean by that mate, I have 2 x sets of leathers, one for racing and one for ride outs.

I also have a set of textile kit for when I'm just cruising around or the weather is crap!
