    put the pull line through the canopy and tie it to the near end of the branch. Tighten it, bringing the branch upwards, then cut the tree. The stored force in the branch and the elasticity of the pull line ( unless you use Dyneema) will bring the tree over fast enough that the hinge won't break...

    That was pretty good, Mick! Hard to tell from the picture, but if the tree in question is behind one of the other, you might be able to tie the two together and do a two-fer.
