sme guy from the show named peels was on the radio for an interview today

talked to a local log trucker thats camping out in astoria, oregon cause theres not much work here. he says chats on the radio with trucks hauling off some of those tv show sides. says dont beleive all you see:D hes busy up there hauling logs for the paper mill, no money in lumber right now

ive got a video the loader operator took of me running yarder, him loading logs, turns coming up the hill. just small wood but still cool. its on vhs though, can that be converted to dvd easily?

i dont know how they do it but we pulled up a block and strap and ran a manilla line through it so we could pull the cable trhough from the ground

they rarely leave the landing when they do show up. usually its a pole belt:dur:

the engine in the carriage powers the hydraulics for the clamps and the "slack kicker". the slack kicker helps pull the skidding main from the yarder so the guys on the ground can take the end of it off to the side to where the chokers are. with out a slack kicker the ground guys would have to...
