Funny, I had a friend who is a decent sawyer ask me why the backcut should be higher than the floor of the face the other day-he knew to do it but wanted to know why. We had a brief discussion on stump shot and then whai IMO is more important- the mechanics of bending and breaking wood...- Stumper
