I dunno weather they are safer or not .Hell we raced the little things and didn't incur any problems at all .You have to hang on to them though .

I don't recall ever seeing a 200 rear handle .I think however Gypo showed up once with an 020 rear at one of our GTG's with a .325 chain .It cut fine from what I remember . I use my pair of 200T's for limbers .The rear handle deal I suppose is just a personal preference .

It's only on rare occasion I even get in a tree any more .I will say this though , I can comfortabley operate a 200 one handed ,seldom do I though . Ergonomicaly speaking that little saw is the best I have ever personally used . The 200 rear ,011-012 and the like might be good little ground...

That is one of the drawbacks of owning a bunch of saws that don't get ran on a regular bassis .When you need them they take a fit on you . Which reminds me ,I need to see if that elasto gizmo will work on a 200T. It had slipped my mind up to now .Duh .

Over a period of years doing repetitive stuff you can get tendonitis and a host of other maladies which just amplify with age . You just have to figure a way to do it easier with less wear and tear on the old bod . Take it from who knows you soon learn what long pry bars ,cheater handles and...

To be quite truthfull about it,that's about all you need to do . I ported one of course and it runs like a raped ape but I'm not sure it runs that much better for all the work involved in it . I could really turn it on if I leaned it a tad but being the somewhat conservative type I don't want...

I primarly ran 20" bars most of the time ..Here of late though it is kind of nice to get that extra 4 or 8 inchs hanging out there so as to not bend over as far . Unless you're into larger stuff it really doesn't slow them down that much . Those folks on the western slopes most likey think a 28...

They had been doing some improvement on the carbs from what info I recall seeing on another site . What it actually was I have not a clue .Most likely something to do with the compensating portion of the carb which detects decreased flow though the air filter . I'm clueless about how that...

You would be totally amazed at the amount of saws I wrench on each year that have nothing more than a clogged up filter . I imagine in about a month or so they will be stopping in with non runners .Spring trim up the apple tree stuff ya know .Saw won't run .

On a little tiny engine like that a person would have to be pretty accurate . As short of throw as they have a little too much removed on a port could change the numbers drastically . I wouldn't think a high port job would be beneficial because it's too tiny to build up much torque by...

It was that little saw plus the one big Dave had that got me interested in tweeking micro saws . My mini Mac was the first results . I don't think John did much to it,maybe pulled the base gasket .That of course wouldn't do anything for the speed but likely would give it more torque . Never the...

I'm going to tweek this one but the results won't be on the net until about the first of May . We run them off in late April so I'll put it on after that . As of yet I've done nothing,no port map to port timing check just played with the muffler a tad . Hard to say how much they can be...

Fatten up the low speed just an RCH Larry . That should do the trick . Just about any saw you do some muffler work on,if you have done so ,they need some more gas at idle because of less back pressure .

You don't even have to remove the clutch to get the muffler off unless you want to .Just unscrew one screw and lift out the inner plastic plate and it slides right out---after a fashion that is . Thare are two screws that come out the bottom and 4 screws holding the muffler halves together ...
