I agree that long discussions doesn't belong there, but don't think a little information on variants etc would clog it up much. Anyway it is your forum, so you call the "shots".

It is very cool - but imo it is a mistake that additional info on the models (including variants) aren't allowed there - basically pictures only. This makes it a lot less useful than it could have been.

Of course it will - it is in the nature of the thing, happens much more abruptly than with a "normal" felling.

I haven't seen or read about it either, but dealers and service is very scattered/fragmented on most markets. Another obsevation is that the 7910 no longer has the power to weight advantage the earlier 7900 had, over the competition (Husky, Stihl, Jonsered).
