Sizwill? Sizwheel? Whizzy? WTH (What the Heck)

Yes. One that would require rigging, not cut and chuck. A long, diagonal to the grain hinge

What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

Rain and calm after rain and wind. In the middle of a 150' doug-fir (if my climbline is 250') that started making a crack in the gravel driveway. Barely seen by the neighbor by luck. A house would have been hit by this tree at 70' so probably 1.5' thick. We raked and tamped the gravel to...

Sizwill? Sizwheel? Whizzy? WTH (What the Heck)

I've been using a sizwheel with double-hinge and a farside/compression dutchman on snappy doug-fir limbs to swing them into a dropzone.

    How'd it go today?

I have a lot of Samson stable braid. Maple leaf ropes has good deals. A 3-strand hard lay Sampson tree-master if using a Maasdsm rope puller. I like the grip and friction of Treemaster for natural crotch self-lowering without a lowering device. Needs breaking in. Many don't...

    How'd it go today?

That's energy absorption. Stretchy ropes are sometimes premium priced like polydyne and dynasorb. Next get a thicker double-braid.

Friends say this happen on I-57 at highway speeds. The bike ended on the rider, too. Motorcycles are too unforgiving for me.

    Drying eucalyptus

Greenhouse plastic is pretty cheap. You can suspend the plastic mid- sheet by cinching cord on the outside of the plastic, capturing a smooth stone on the inside of the enclosure. If you know a guy, an easy metal or wood frame could hold the cords anchor ends. Drape the plastic to the ground...

    Akimbo 2 attachment question

Idk... that seems like it will feed wrong. I use one on my flipline for a 90⁰ turn on hip Ds. The Akimbo should fairlead downward if directly attached on a bridge. Right?
