    Ice cutting?

We use canola oil when cutting ice fishing holes up here. A few weeks ago we were up at our cottage by Mountain and wanted to see how thick the ice was. I didn't have my saw but we used my neighbor's with bar oil..... It worked fine and didn't leave any noticeable slick. Sent from my SM-G935V...

Natural crotch rigging with Graham McMahon.

If Graeme ever came to the Midwest to speak I'd do just about anything to attend..... Same with Jerry for that matter. Those guys have soooooo much tree knowledge it's just crazy. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

    The Official Happy Birthday thread!!!

Thank you sir! I don't get on here as much as I used to but I still check in on a regular basis. Here's a pic of my birthday present to myself. A 20 ft deck over trailer so we can haul our stump grinder and loader with one truck.

    Marketing/winter work

I had my sister send out an email to our customers when Emerald Ash Borer was first confirmed in our service area. It wasn't meant as a sales tactic but more informational. We got some work out of it so I guess it helped in that aspect too. My sister does that email marketing thing as a...

    How'd it go today?

It's kind of a goofy looking machine. It's only a 37 hp engine and its on the opposite side of the chipper from where the picture was taken. Tires were what ever came on the machine from new. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

    How'd it go today?

Not exactly how I wanted to start my Monday off..... Blew a tire at 70mph on the interstate. Funny thing is, the towing bill was as much as it cost me to put two new tires on the chipper. The bright side is that nobody got hurt and I didn't cause an accident. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

    Bid calculations

I should clarify.... I don't give the customer our rate. I only use that to calculate the bid for the job I give them. They get charged the quoted price no matter how long it takes us to complete the work. The only exception is for previous customers who just tell us to come out and do the work...

    Bid calculations

Lucky for us, we don't have employees so we don't have to factor that in. It's just me and my partner and we get paid the same every week regardless of how much work we get done. It keeps another cost constant for us. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

    Bid calculations

We've always bid this way.... It's how we were taught at our old job. It makes sense because it's the only way we know. However, we have definitely made changes to fit our needs. I am open to new methods and that's why I started this thread. I am on our program committee for the Wisconsin...

    Bid calculations

There was a little discussion about bidding jobs that came about in the thread I posted about getting a loader. I've been meaning to start this thread since then but have been busy until now. When I bid jobs, I look at it and figure out how many hours it's going to take to complete the job and...

    My New Website

I like it but there might be a minor formatting issue. I know ours took a fair amount of tweaking to get it optimized on all of the different kinds of devices. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

    Official Guns Thread

Question for you gun peeps..... Are you all anal about keeping your guns in mint condition or are you OK with scratches and dings? I have several that are in mint, but my favorites are kind of messed up. As I say, each scratch is a memory. My hunting rifle is beat to hell. Not that I don't take...
