Some relatively low snow off and on last week. A few pics of my drive over the pass at Gov't. Camp, and of Mt. Hood from the east side of the Forest.

nice Burn, pretty shots, snow where it belongs, up in the mountains.

MB, are you awaiting the arrival of snow? You might be up a bit late...

Nope, I haven't summited Hood. I really prefer to backpack off trail up to around timberline, say 6 or 7000 feet and then boulder around up under the noses of the glaciers at around 9000 max, myself. Almost never see other people doing that, whereas the popular routes to the summit are jammed. Unpopular routes are beyond my technical abilities, and besides, people get killed with depressing frequency on them.
