What kind of tree

In LA they are blooming right now.

Wait, where are you located? I've only seen these in warmer climates. I can look it up when I get to work tomorrow, if this is indeed where it is.

What did the bark look like? smoothish, gray, cracked here and there with orangish, peachish colring inside the cracks?

I am in Kansas Nick. The tree's bark if I remember correctly. Was as you describe
