The Truck Thread

Keep em coming, we love trucks as much as trees. Probably more actually.

Here are a few I have sold.

Lastly, my 1955 E-38 grain truck. The bed of this vehicle currently holds about 400 BF of cedar I milled along with about 150 chain saws.

Maybe a tad off the subject but I got reminded of two instances involving old trucks .

The first was a 1954 grain hauler my brother in law had .Old flat head Dodge with a bad water pump .I fixed it with the innards from a Ford water pump .Wide open pedal to the metal about 45 MPH .

The second was an old rattle trap Chevy Tom had with a 6 cylinder 292 six banger .Leaky pump that got a new lease in life with Ford parts and a little lathe work .Never say die .;)

Brendon, what thickness did you use on the diamond plate for the siding? Also, what did you use for the framing? I'm looking at putting together a box soon and coming up with ideas....

When I had the diamond plate one it's 1/8". The frame was 2" x.125 steel square. To heavy though. I'd go 1.5" x .125 or even a gauge or too thinner on the frame.

Let me know what you are thinking Willie and I will run it across Rob's desk and see what he thinks.

What year is that anyway? Emissions might be what kills me if.

Stephen, word got around before I was even ready to sell, I have a guy that is supposed to bring me some dough next week for it8)

IMG_4388.JPG I've been busy with the old plow truck. New(to me 90miles) motor, tranny, transfer case, and all u-joints. Done all the wrenching myself, shop for the rebuilds on the tranny and transfer case components.

I'll have it all buttoned up this weekend, just have the frame crossmember under the tranny and the t-case to go.

You guys use salt up there? I'd think it'd be all rotted out being plowed in all. Looks sharp!

It is showing some rot in spots, that's a older pic that I had already loaded on here from a couple years ago. I can't finger out how to get pics from my cel-phone onto the computer. I think my computer might be to old or something?

Jeff, I don't know what to say. Crazy.
