Stump grinding estimate

I like that too but not enough to come out from behind the "bullet proof" glass.

You remote control users, chime in here. You couldn't pay me enough to stand in front of that wheel like the old guy is doing. Am I wrong, is that safe?

I have been hit in every direction, but standing 90 degrees to the wheel has worked the best so far. Standing between 45 to 75 degrees is a war zone.

Well maybe its my green teeth then, rock gets jammed between the cutters then takes a fast ball straight ahead.
I always have a fold up plywood barrier for my grinder.

That Sandvik cutting system is very tidy, never seen it throw a stone forward of the machine. Safest place to stand IMO.

I keep guards as well but set them to protect what is back and to the side of the machine. It's near impossible to throw anything forward with that front guard in place as most material is thrown back and the little that carries over is thrown straight down in front
