Do any of you guys use dropbox? I started and I like it but new to it, so I was wondering if anyone else has it.

Rob and I use it. Works great. Downside is my desktop with 2 terrabytes of storage is down Can't use it at the moment. Since we run Windows, Linux and Android type systems here, it helps transfer files wiht out having to try and network all three platforms which is a PITA!

I was also wondering about their security. Some of this hi-tech stuff freaks me out.

Rob is always worried about security. And he has had no issues to date. Have to be invited to the share with permissions anyway.

Is that a similar deal to backing up your files on the internet? That is what I do.

In a way Jay. It stores them on a site and transfers them to another computer if you so desire.

I use it almost daily. I have it on my laptop, phone, iPad and when I had an office job I had it on my work computer, too. The ability to pull up any client estimate at any time from any location is amazing.

Jay- it's just a folder. But it's the same folder all over the place. Let's says you have a folder called "jay's recipes." you go home, put a new chili recipe in there, then when you get to work you open up the same "jays recipes" folder and the new chili recipe is already there.
