Does any one know of a company that makes hardhats that fit a womans head better than the standard issue ones?

The wife has been going out on the emergency jobs lately, and i hate giving her the loaner hard hats.

Any of the ladies have as suggestion?

Why would a woman's hat fit any differently than a man's? It's not like they have tits on their scalp or something.

If that were the case would'nt they be called a "tithead"? Anyways, I thought most hard hats were adjustable? Maybe some of the cheaper ones aren't. Take her hard hat shopping & test fit a few...Rick

Here ya go.

Now that is something I bet every woman has fantasy's about. Going hard hat shopping . I wonder if that rates up there with going vacumm cleaner shopping .

Sorry I just couldn't resisit it.

I think it is great your wife is out there helping you on the job. I hope you find one she likes.

Thanks ax man,
a womans head is a bit smaller than a mans and they can be a bit bulky, (hard hats) and i just want her to have something cozy,
kinda like the ladies line of carharts.

I think key would be getting her her own hardhat. Ugh when you said 'loaner' hardhat I was thinking your wife is a trooper. I never wear anyone elses hardhat and no one else ever wears mine.

indeed, have my couple hats and I have a couple for the help, they are welcome to go to Acklands and buy their own if they dont want to share.

That is going to be a tall order to fill.

The only way I know to get a hard hat is to order one through the arbo catologs or get one at the local Sthil dealer.

I thought some of the ladies may have had had some particular brand they like,
wife had to wear the loaner crew hat 2 days in a row cause the safety shop was closed, no complaints from her, i just felt bad

I don't think any of the women are online tonight so who knows you may get a opinion or two tomorrow.8)

i'll check back on it,
my wife is a better groundy than most;
its the logger in her blood, she runs the rope and puller, and stacks and chips, hops on the rake, she just keeps the job going, and everyone keeps moving so they dont look bad
its funny,
she 's also the safety officer, so she even made the subbed equipment guy put on his hardhat because pics were being taken, and he even came over and hopped in on clean up just to bs while raking.
its refreshing to randomly have her around

I would think any hardhat with an adjustable headband would be fine? The Petzl I have has a little knob thingie at the back to tighten or loosen, does it have to be more complicated?

Thattreeguy sure is sweet to think about a special hard hat for his wife. I don't know of any made especially for women, I just use the standard. I do like the kind with the brim all the way around though.

Ive had more women work ground for me than men ... My last groundgirl / girlfreind was quite particular about fit and look .... we did order a red petzl that she loved ... (I've also found that our customers LOVED the fact that our team includes women , as well as the other contracters)

THANK YOU AS WELL,
now she has info to search out a choice of her own.

She could stuff it with Kleenex till fits right. That trick seems to work on other things...Rick

Egads I can't believe she wore the loaner. My own hardhat has that extra special stink you can only get after 12+ months of work in hot weather. Since the smell makes me gag, I can only imagine what my wife would think of it.
