Building an electric motor. Apparently electric-automobile. If you can stand to watch the whole vid the tech behind the machines building the motors far surpasses the concept of the electric motor itself. Current manufacturing tech to early this year. Amazing.

We're headed for the stars!

tree removal at least, has pretty much removed people from the equation. robots can do it all. if people are touching wood during a tree removal, your doing it wrong.

I have never seen that type of automation before. I watched the whole thing and that level of precision and complication is incredible. I think the installation of the liquid gasket may have been the most impressive to me. Good share.

I'm pretty sure an arborbot could be built today, and we aren't too far from having it make the cutting decisions. It isn't at all cost effective today, but that's just a detail. Everything gets cheaper over time. You could have a whole robot crew drive out to a job, handle it, then come back to the shop.

yeah me too. but, Its only a matter of time though till its not at all practical. The future is using a few drones to create a 3 d map of the tree. this image goes into the computer, creating a cut plan for the tree-mec. the operator pushes "play" and the machine dismantles the tree.

i cant see robots doing an aesthetic pruneing though. but you never know.

Sennebogens can easily take such large, high cuts that perhaps removing a human from the cab is not particularly needed. "Tree removal in minutes"

Maybe it will be like loggers...most is done by big machines but they still use guys like Stig and Reg for sites where machines can't go. Cowboys/rogue warriors/specialists will always exist.

Very few and far between tho. I'm working in a facility that is automating parts collection and sorting, they've automated welding to a pretty high degree, translating and transcribing is now automated, cooking is automated in certain places, etc. Technology is growing exponentially, it will be a quick change when they finally get there. My kids are only 3 and 4, so my grandkids will likely never drive a car.
