The pear links were a quick improv until I could get better gear. I still use them for tie downs and such. Actually have one holding the spare tire on the back of the Ram.- treesmith

My first handful of slings were 3/8” cordage with the hardware store type pear shaped snaps. Used them for a long time. Large bowline tied on the end to pass the snap through.- treesmith
