I stick with 1/2" Stable Braid for up to 1000#, 500# when negative rigging. Beyond that, and I go to 9/16". I only break out the 5/8" or 3/4" for big stuff, and I use short lines for that. Most big wood rigging (for me, at least), is normally under 50' high. No need for the extra wear on a 150'...
