You work for a crazy llama lady too? That’s awesome. The one I work for actually raises alpacas ( same critter to me). Don’t confuse the two. The owners will let you know the difference and that will add an hour to the day.

You have the best Vermeer dealer in history with the longest demo in history or you bought a chipper. What’s the price on that splitter? We have mountains of huge unwanted wood that will cost a small fortune to dispose of.

That’s a lot cheaper for them than if you left with out touching it. Don’t forget the church’s cut

Roughly $300 a load for large wood. Do that a few times daily, it adds up quick. The atom splitter or something like it might work to make these behemoth junk logs chippable. Most of it gets dumped at our shop property and gets loaded out once a week. There is always a mountain of it. If I dump...

Do you happen to have a link Rajan? I’ve been contemplating ways to dispose of larger wood. We can easily get rid of chips( cheaply even when we have to pay), but large wood cost a small fortune.

I think ours got bought out by your local dealer. They have kept the same guy in charge of the service department or we would be completely switched over.

August, your Vermeer dealer is either the best or they really like the exposure from you making videos with them. The company I’m with owns close to a million in their products and can’t get them to bring us a demo on a mini-skid. When we asked for a demo on an Ax19, they told us it would be 3...

Dang Mellow beat me to it. Reading this at 11:15 pm I’m sure that song will be stuck in my head till I fall asleep. I’m tired but I have the feeling I will now be up a bit longer.

I see it how you do Jed. I do wish for a crane most days though. I’ve done one crane removal in the last ten years though. I have a friend that has done nothing but crane work for two years straight and whines to me how he misses the complexity of rigging. I love the fact that I can figure out...

As Mick said. Nicely done and explained. I know dominoe felling is frowned upon but remains to be a great tool when necessary.

We loop the cord over the driver side mirror for the block heaters. Used to have drop cords from the ceiling between the bays and they always hung in front of the windshield. Even with them hanging in plain sight they still got ripped off.:X.
