They hold up as well as the normal bars. For wear, that is. If they are bent, they die easier than a normal bar.

Relax, guys. We have to order them, too. Feel better now?

Put a little silicone grease on those corner screws. I've only found one thing wrong with it so far and we have used them over 6 months in logging so that is about 1000 hours on each. The outside dogs are too weak for logging, we've broken several. But they don't cost much to replace and I...

We ran a 36" on it yesterday in a Tulip poplar. That worked fine. Full comp chain, too.

I can elaborate on that, having just brought the replacement for the one I crushed in for a handle heat repair. It is the wire that runs through the rear handle that is supposed to fit in a groove. Being too short, it jumps out of the groove nad vibrates loose. At least that is how I understood...

It is kinda cute to me, that you call them "Arctic" Here they are simply marketed as pro saws. Can't sell a saw without heated carb and handles to a pro faller around here. That is BTW one problem with the 462. They have made the wire from the handle to the switch too short, so it breaks off...

I'm very much looking forwards to that. My dealer has put an order in for 2, just to be first on the waiting list. He has promised I can have one of them to test run. We need two more heavy felling saws, but instead of buying 661s, we'll make do with what we have and wait for the release of the...

Do you really use saws enough these days, that it is worth throwing money after a new one. There is your counter argument.

Apart from their tendency to get stolen and the fact that they don't hold up well to having large Beech trees dropped on them, I'm still in love:)

We all get that early morning hankering for a new saw once and again. Mine was stolen, all right. We were working a private, posted, no trespassing forest, so we just left the saws and everything else on the logging site when we packed up and headed home to camp. Some trespasser with a good...

I brought a couple of old 441s up to my dealer 3 weeks ago, to see if he could fix one of them for the new apprentice to use. We don't give new saws to newbies, they are too hard on them at first. The dealer showed me the new MS462 that had just come in the door.. I was really impressed with...
