    Either way it's gonna make a big difference I don't believe mine is a pop-up. I'll grab my modded 460 over my modded 660 anyday of the week unless the wood gets over say 28" or so. My TW460 is the nicest saw I've ever owned, it's truly a thing of beauty to bury that sucker into a nice log...

    Did the same to my 660, sent it away after about 7 tanks through it. No regrets, twice the saw it was.

    CTM, all of my mods I shipped out east to get done. I would not try to learn to do it myself on a new 660 imo.

    If you're doing treework properly you'll still have money left for beer, cars, and the other mamby pamby stuff that Craig mentioned. Also you'll have more time to partake in those kinds of things.

    Modded saws rule. If you don't like the noise wear a set of plugs under your muffs. I'll never run stock saws ever again. Never, it's like wasting your life in the cut.

    I bought a 660 a couple of years back. Complete dog in stock form imo. I sent it to Ed and now I'm happy with it. A modded 460 is a far superior saw imo unless you're always going to be buried in 24" plus wood. My .02's
