We’ve had two mostly sunny days, and this morning was nice until rain started at about 11:45am. The rivers have all overflowed their banks and a lot of rural roads are closed due to flooding. Much wetter than usual and England tends to be a bit wet.

I’m looking forward to low to mid 60’s next week (sorry John, I know you like the cold) so I can get the edging pavers cut and finish the patio. It’s been too cold to run the wetsaw.

Expect about 2' rain today, with high winds at times. Another inch +/- on Friday. When I checked this morning it showed an inch of snow each next Monday and Tuesday, but just now they upped it to 4 inches over the same time frame.

Just 103*F in Tucson today. Two evenings ago a massive dust storm followed by the first of what they call "monsoon rain". It was a nice soaking, and the roof runoff filled about two feet of the retention tank behind the house.

Spent the day yesterday dealing with torn apart and uprooted trees in Southeast Pennsylvania. Lots of severe thunderstorms passing through, some with microbursts.

Gentle rain with that cold, monotone grey of a dense cloud cover that says it’s going nowhere fast, and somehow reminds me of a time in 1976 driving from Crangerville, ID to Jerry Johnson’s hot spring over by Lolo with my new girlfriend from IU in Moscow (Idaho, not Russia).

They backed off of the three digit temps here, now only a high of 92 through 97 the next four days, but humid...

It'll be 85 and light rain/thunderstorms today; next four days not over 90 degrees; not bad for here. Been up since 4am writing chapter for book except for time spent on various forums (why it'll likely never get completed!)

Started this early today and never hit enter; got busy: Rain today and well, right on through the next four days... Glad we got ten trees down and processed and clean up yesterday. Out of work neighbor is repairing drywall and painting the house, room-by-room. Nice not having to do it myself...

About 5" of snow last night and just now a large amount of snow and ice slid off the south facing roof. Spring flowers popping up: crocuses in bloom where they are protected on south side submural areas; jonquils and daffodils are up about an inch and a half and winter aconite is in bloom...
