    Fat pin oak, tiny backyard!

Thanks Jerry for your words. You can all understand that all neighbors surrounding this tree were all paranoid, for only being human.... The tree was very solid, but very large for its setting. If it was in a field then of course it would continue to grow, but being in such an urban setting...

Yeah Murph of course I put a letterbox in that cut. Makes for pulling the stick over easier. Cutting from the right hand side was really hindered by a, the fence, b, the bushes. Had to use a short bar on the 441 just to finish the backcut on that side. The 36 inch bar was way short! Marc, used...

I think it came down because they were paranoid about it and also to let more light in! Cory, we hired the mini Vermeer, with the bucket on, really hard to load the wood onto just a bucket, but thats all they got. I told them at the hire shop to get a grapple attachment, they are considering it.

Cheers Tucker and everyone. Yes some mental work goes into every dismantle in confined areas... But once a good rigging point is established, and room is made then removal is pretty straightfwd. All the eyes were on me for the first day, especially the neighbor who was really paranoid, but after...

It actually turned out to be 3 in the end Ian... the rain made cleanup alot harder, and I carried about 15 garbage loads of sawdust from back to the front!

Haha Butch! Those guys were the customers! They took most of the pics, and had a laugh taking pics of themselves with the saw (not running!). The guy did actually get involved with groundying, and turned out to be brilliant! I would hire him in a jiffy :)

Here is a removal of a fat pin oak, in a tiny back yard. At first Cosby uses the bucket to clear the tips of the lower branches from over the garage and roof, to make rigging easier. Had good weather until the last day when cutting and picking the wood out, so clean up was harder! I used a...
