The Montgomery Giant is 110 feet taller than the Treehouse, and much bigger around. Truly a 'Sequoia' size Coast Redwood. I never measured it's volume, but would guess it better than 300,000 bf.

That was the 'Treehouse Project'. The largest redwood tree on Hwy 101. Wes Burns and I climbed the tree (89?) and measured it's height and volume @ 250' tall, by 240,000 bf. Not tall, but big around.

The Treehouse, 6 miles north of Leggett, on Hwy 101, is beautiful today. Back in 03 we took a ton (maybe more) of deadwood out of it. It's full, fluffy and green, and it looks so much better than it did full of deadwood. There were a few cuts made in the tree that I would have left...
