In my experience with a few issues, they have been an A+ company.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

I wear mine around town, to the store, pretty much everywhere. People think I have on some kind of bullet-proof vest, or that I'm cold. Yesterday was 102° here. That's stinkin' hot for here.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

Just a little thing, but. . . if you get the "Glacier Pak Comfort," without the horizontal seams, it will provide a bit more cooling right in the middle. I've had both styles.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

I have three vests, all with zippers, and two sets of packs. It's stinkin' hot here now, compared to even 15 years ago. I lived in Florida a few years, so I know what hot is. One difference here is, if you stand in the shade, it feels cooler. I don't remember that phenomenon in Florida...

    Fighting The Heat!!!

The value of cooling easily offsets the weight, for me. We're sweltering here at 100° with yucky air quality. The heat breaks at about 4 am.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

Yep, second set. . . and a cooler to put your big ice cube and second set in.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

Yep, mine, too. The old style didn't have the horizontal seems More cooling!

    Fighting The Heat!!!

Mine started leaking last year, and they replaced them also. It will be interesting to see how you like them. I felt the new ones didn't cool as well, plus they put a seam across the middle, which sorta gives less cooling surface area. Yes, agree, a great company. Wear mine every day when...

    Fighting The Heat!!!

Sean, if the packs need to be submerged, jugs of frozen water would not do the trick. That's essentially what I'm doing now.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

I have been putting ice only in the cooler. You're saying the packs have to be totally submerged in water, right? That must be the step I'm missing.

Butch, I haven't figured out the ice block thing yet. What I've tried doesn't fully recharge. What size cube? More thane one?

I got about 6 minutes out of the cool rag before it was useless.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

Mine is kind of a rip-stop nylon/canvas fabric, almost like chain saw pants. Can't imagine it would be as comfortable against the skin as a t-shirt, but it probably would work better. If I were a groundie and it wore out after a summer, I'd buy another. It doesn't dry out fast, but doesn't...

    Fighting The Heat!!!

I wore mine EVERY DAY last summer, even when playing tennis. Absolutely makes a difference for me. I get 2-3 hours. Two sets to rotate.

At my job last week, they had a fridge in the garage. Quite convenient!

    Fighting The Heat!!!

I guess I could cut all but an inch of the velcro and try that. The blue ice packs don't work very well. Haven't tried a block of ice yet. Where do you get that? I've only seen crushed.
