The value of cooling easily offsets the weight, for me. We're sweltering here at 100° with yucky air quality. The heat breaks at about 4 am.

Sean, if the packs need to be submerged, jugs of frozen water would not do the trick. That's essentially what I'm doing now.

I have been putting ice only in the cooler. You're saying the packs have to be totally submerged in water, right? That must be the step I'm missing.

Mine is kind of a rip-stop nylon/canvas fabric, almost like chain saw pants. Can't imagine it would be as comfortable against the skin as a t-shirt, but it probably would work better. If I were a groundie and it wore out after a summer, I'd buy another. It doesn't dry out fast, but doesn't...

I wore mine EVERY DAY last summer, even when playing tennis. Absolutely makes a difference for me. I get 2-3 hours. Two sets to rotate.

At my job last week, they had a fridge in the garage. Quite convenient!

I guess I could cut all but an inch of the velcro and try that. The blue ice packs don't work very well. Haven't tried a block of ice yet. Where do you get that? I've only seen crushed.
