I missed that in the quick skim I did on it. From everything I read it was developed for ford to use in the 6.0. But they never took it as there own brand after all the troubles they had with the motor.

I switched to Mobil 1 synthetic at the time also. I had a leaking seal on one of the trucks second oil change with hss and it stopped leaking. Has held now for 10k miles...don't know if the additive was the remedy but that's positive as well!!

Lets hope it's a while down the road!!! Been running hss for 2 years now, in the fords.

It is good stuff.. Used it in 7.3 6.0 and a cat 7.2. Most noticeable improvement on the cat in the bucket truck.
