Im self taught, using the fundamentals. I had 1 class of climbing after i had been doing it a bit, looked like an idiot on some stuff but ahead on other stuff. To this day i don't foot lock lol, i learned on ascenders so that's it.

I don't want to admit this, but i usually do the angled cut first if doing a conventional, which is my normal unless i have a reason for a Humboldt. I also do the block out fairly often, with splitting the block out with an ax and a snipe, especially on my doubled cut ones. Overkill I'm sure...
