My little dinner companion isn't happy, but he's a bit of a wuss anyway. I don't know what part of Asia he comes from but he just leaves when it gets cold. He does the same when it gets over 75 and hates when the fire is going, humidity is too low. I might put his outside plug in next summer...

Third week of Autumn, 85 on Thursday and 65 today. Started cooling down on Friday and some rain most days since. My Claret Ash leaves are changing colour so just a few weeks and it'll be raking leaves and fire time.

Back up in the 90's this week, 95 today. A lot cooler here than most places, bit of a heatwave from out west and another cyclone about to hit up north so some rain coming.

The burst of hot summer is over. Winter gear tonight and a second blanket, bit cool this morning. Storm on Wednesday night, rain all day yesterday and it cooled right down. Rain again tomorrow. :( Thanks Queensland, keep your cyclone weather up there.

It hit Saturday, 3ft of rain in Cairns yesterday. Airport closed and a lot under water, a lot more rain up on the tablelands so the rivers are bursting. My sister is ok, she's on a bit of a hill. Still got power but no internet or tv. She went for a bit of a walk this morning and didn't see any...

Nice sunny day today and no wind, just under 60F. Bit colder than the forecast last night, -4.5C or 24. Yesterday was the coldest day in May since '99. Coldest ever was -8 in 1982.

Fire's going. Cold day and really cold wind, it's snowing down south and Sydney airport was cancelling flights due to the strong wind. Bit better tomorrow.

Three weeks till winter but it's getting a bit cool. 0C tonight, top of 11 tomorrow and -3 forecast for tomorrow night. Might have to light the fire, brought some wood in so it's right to go now.

Actually it was bloody freezing out there. I'm in the kitchen now on my phone with the little gas heater going.

No T shirt here. Winter is on it's way, cold change a few days ago and the first frost plus cold wind. Getting too cool where my computer is so I'll have to go to my winter spot. Haven't lit the fire yet but next door's has been going for a week.
