Better idea would be to do the mowing from 7am until 11am and then go inside in the AC between 12pm and 6pm.

Dunno their prices but there are some of these vests on Amazon for $50 shipped without the cooling packs. Looks like it was a Municipal purchase that was returned because the individual packages were opened to put an ID number on the collar but they were never used...

I think our bodies are less able to deal with the heat as we age, which is why it seems harder to handle the heat now than 20 years ago.

I had no idea it got that hot up there, Willie. We are in the 90s every day but it also rains every day as well. Morning lows are about 70 with 90-100% humidity.

But you're in Oregon. Hot for you is 85 degrees. Too humid here for that stuff. I'm already drenched with sweat, a wet rag doesn't do a lot more. Had a customer give us some last year and I never picked mine up off the table. The other guys used them for one day and I never saw them again.

I've thought about it, but this summer hasn't been too hot here so far. And to be honest I rarely think about the heat while I'm working. I would die without good AC in the truck on the ride home, though!

Click the link. The vest is $179, extra cooling packs are just over $100 if bought at the same time. I like the nail proof pads to protect the cooling packs as well. My clothes are always getting stabbed and torn by tree limbs.

Yeah, I was looking forward to a good report. I need one that's good for 4 hours, starting about 3 hours after I leave the house.
