    Fighting The Heat!!!

COOLDAD coupon code saved me $41.xx on a $278 order for 2 sets of replacement packs. I've had three vests for about 4-5 years, I'd guess.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

How hard is that, compared to be a functioning groundworker? Maybe I expect my employees to function like successful humans too much. It's like plugging in and putting down your nice helmet with muffs and visor and Sena, intentionally, safely, at the end of the day, in a good spot, rather than...

    Fighting The Heat!!!

Winter jackets are bulky when it's freezing, and you have to pay for them. Coolvests are Well worth it. Talked to my neighbor. His 90 year old mom loves working outside, but the heat is too much. She's getting a nice pink, kids' vest. She's a tiny old lady. Make it the groundies job to get...

    Fighting The Heat!!!

I'm interested in getting some thin, closed cell foam to put to the outside of the packs within the sleeve. No need to lose cooling power by gaining external heat from the air and sun. Not buying a Coolvest to work in the heat is like not buying a warm jacket for wearing in the cold.

Cooling packs with cold water might work better. A gallon jug of drinking water, opened and emptied a bit, then frozen, would work. You can't drink your re freezable packs.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

I'm guilty of not getting back to calls when it's sleep so I can do my job, or call back customers. While everyone wants to be treated like they are the guy buying a 1000 instead of 1, their target clients are buying 100 for a corporate workforce. Spend your Dollar vote as you wish, but at...

spraying a hose in the air will act like a swamp cooler (evaporative cooling) in the immediate vicinity, and keep dust down. I'm working on powdery soil at the moment under what was a wide tree, so only sprigs of turf here and there, that used to look sorta like lawn.

Mid eighties. Coolvest and easy up canopy over a big stump, in full sun. Still more blocks of figured maple to cut from the stump.

This has got to be the busiest time of year for them.

They'll get you sorted. My impression is a small work force at the company. Get a cooler and some water and a bag of ice. You'll be cool most of the day. They recharge quickest in an ice water bath down to 32*F. Freezer will get them colder.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

When it's freezing out, do you mind the bulk of a jacket? Wrists would be bulky in the wrong spots. Without enough mass and bulk, they won't do anything. I forget about the bulk in a hurry, focused on work over being hot.

    Fighting The Heat!!!

I've thought that insulation on the outside of the pack's pockets would be great. I think a thin piece of closed-cell foam would do it.

BTW, they are sized large. I only get 1" of velcro (enough) to stick. I need to stitch the size elastics a bit. Carl, You will love them!!!! Just need a little umbrella and drink holder helmet, now.
