Been and gone, to get this thread back on track a bit. ;-) Decided to cut out of work around lunch on Friday, actually left a few hours later, ran to my camp gear stash then home for chow, grabbed kiddo at daycare and broke the news; we are going camping, right from here! Squeals of glee ensued...

Not a long trip but a long weekend here. So far Saturday was a lazy one, Sunday we went to the outlaws and went to the annual logger sports party and competition then a bbq supper of way overcooked and way oversauced steaks (I like the taste of meat, not bbq sauce with meat as a carrier)...

all good. and I think it was linkin logs, but that's immaterial in the long run, I never had them.

ps, the boys are involved in a relatively polite game of go fish, which my son learned late last week.

there are a couple in another thread ;) we didnt get many nice ones though, too dark and gloomy. Already put out the bulletin for next year though, looking at a few of the long weekends to head out and live in the woods for a few days at a time. :)

Back, for a few hours anyways, 3 days of tenting and fun with family (including my sisters and bro in laws with the combined 6 children), good weather till a light rain last night, a load of free wood from a tree guy I know on the way out of town and came back to the news that we are now...

we are off for a few nights tenting. might change next week, I have a buddy going to look at a 20 foot trailer for us that is out of town, its a few years old but the price is about right. :) Stay nice to each other around here wouldya?
