The local Wawa pumps now shut off at $175 instead of $100 like they used to. Better, but still not enough to fill up my truck today. Just above 30 gallons.
Since posting my "angry" comment, I've done more research and it turns out I may have misjudged EV's. I'm willing to concede they may be cheaper to run and greener than ICE's.
Regular is now at $4.76 and diesel is $5.76. BTW, if you think you're saving the planet or even saving money in the long term by switching to EV's, just stop and get a clue.
I'm an O- and I usually work all day long with nothing but an energy drink for breakfast and a banana for lunch. My wife is a B+ and she goes off the rails without some food every two hours. And no, she's not fat. She's like a hummingbird. Constant frenetic energy.
Stopped for diesel on the way back to the shop after work today. Dang pumps shut off at $100 so I had to ration it between the truck, the Avant, and the Nifty Lift.
The throttle cable broke on my Avant months ago, so I have only one speed. It looks like a complicated job to replace it. Maybe I'll just use the wheelbarrow until gas prices go down again. :/:
