You need a dedicated cooler for the spare cool packs... when the packs lose their charge the vest can get warm real quick. Plus, it's rather heavy.

I would stick with ice, and the bigger the better. Be sure to wear the neck wrap as tight against the skin as possible.

One tip about the vest... The second it starts to feel warm, TAKE IT OFF and replace/recharge the gelpacs. If it's not charged and keeping your cool, then it just becomes a hot vest.

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble with them. I've had many transactions with no problem whatsoever. GlacierTek is just about the only place to get the best coolvest. There is another out there, I don't remember who. I just remember I like GT better.

Two hours is max for the coolvest. I like to change it every hour when it's really hot.

Yes. The vests alone are between 50 and 75 bucks. I have 4 diff versions. Of course, they are useless w/o the cooling packs.
