Just ask them to come to take care of the wood themselves.

Lifting these logs and passing over the building makes me a tad bit uncomfortable. I know that all is well but I can't help me thinking of a neat big punch through the roof. Too bad you have to leave the dying one on the other side of the street. The HO should take the chance. Maybe later ?

Furious envy, but that's only in my dreams ... Do you got the load indicator repaired?

Looks like the cable vibrating and resounding. It's about the same sort of sound when the gopro is tied to the loaded rigging line in some other vids.

It's funny how it works : first time we see the tree at some distance, we are like "so, and what?" Then, when the climber (s) are in place, it becomes " wow !" Nice work.

Well said Kyle. I find the short vids very frustrating. You barely go in the "story" and bang, the end! It's like a short book, you make the effort to integrate the characters, the tenants, the story, appreciate the travel in the events as well as the narrating style... then ... final period ...

Great editing to "touch" the amount of stored energy by the high. Even with the proper gear, I wouldn't feel comfortable to deal with such a load. The last two big ones, I chickened and managed to flop them, easier and quicker, but somewhat a bit more risky for the surrounding targets.

It's funny when we see you in a store, at the airport or the like. We are not used to, it makes it almost unreal:D

=D> Poor camera, what a giant slap ! :eyeslam: It's funny how the poplars can dismantle themselves when they hit the ground. Maybe it isn't so funny when comes the time to haul the broken limbs to the chipper, as it requires many more travels. A massive amount of racking too.

Teflon is available only snow white, from what I saw. It's very costly if you need some big piece. It's indeed very slippery but way too soft for a hard mechanical contact like the sliding patches in a telescopic boom or a guide for the logs, planks and final products. It looses its shape easily...

It's nice to see the logs flying so smoothly, like there isn't any gravity. Top crew ! But for the fun side, well... #-o Didn't that cut fight cost you a bar ?

Only when needed. There are a lot of two-handing in the same tree. Do what suits the moment.

Yes, I was completely out of the root flare. The grain seemed straight to me, but it was cut by boring and not split though. So it's difficult to be sure. Thinking at it, maybe a slightly twisted grain could give this result, one side weakened splits and folds easily, the other reinforced by...

I tried the block face a few time on some small deciduous trees to test the enhanced folding capability, but I wasn't enthusiast with the results due to a collateral effect: Each time, I got exactly what I feared before hand, as the partial loss of the aiming's accuracy. Maybe I did something...

So much energy stored just by the height of things, it's scary when we think on it. You made some really great shots, good idea the target acquired thing !

That's an interesting idea to accumulate the limbs in air on a low point of the speed line, then to lower all the bunch in one time just at the right spot. It seems to save a lot of time /energy to avoid reseting the line at each time. Love the music!

I agree, but I prefer to be wet and hot than soaked and cold. I wear rain gear only when the rain become serious though, because it's not really fun to bring that up in the tree. A small rain doesn't bother me too much, as the water has the time to warm up going throw my different cloth's...
