    Yeah the portability is great but if i had the room for a larger mill or trailer i would have one. One day il have the room why not have more than one setup ? Different mills for different jobs!

    Ok will do. I run 40:1 and keep saw idling a minute between cuts. Yeah its very enjoyable alright i love it.. should be selling more slabs this week. Then invest in a 42inch bar i think. Have a 36inch g.b titanium pro top bar on it now

    The bar n chain look all good. Il try slowing it down on winch and throttle. Sure its tight enough and sharp.

    Yeah i dont really mind it and It looks good on a rim of a bowl if you just leave the saw marks.. anyone have any ideas why its leaving such a rough surface like this?? Its a double skip ripping chain at 10° new chain and i keep it sharp. I thought maybe winch speed as well as such soft wood...

    Yeah it was pretty tight i didnt want to tighten it any more.. i think it cut a rough surface like that because timber is pretty soft and was real wet . And i was only wedging easily not pushing them in hard

    Im selling all but one of seven slabs.. il make a coffee table to probably sell with the slab i keep. Its awesome timber so nice to work with so soft those slabs took seven mins on average each to cut i think thats pretty quick

    Such soft timber to cut.. each slab took 7 mins. 2.5metres long 700mm wide

    Yeah the grain is incredible in that bowl. Ive got a few good slabs of it lots of natural inclusions and checks. Beautiful

    Ha thanks everyone! He does do nice work. We will be slabbing more of that red cedar log this weekend shall post pics. This is a "yellow box" bowl with ledge around rim pretty tough stuff

    Heres a bowla mate turned from that blackbutt burl chunk.. well im pretty sure its blackbutt. I havent turned any pieces of that chunk yet but shall be soon

    Yeah i messed up.. looks like its been moved.. no not spalted thats just the sappy gum veins the eucalypt burls are full of it. Pretty nice hard stuff
