I've had the chance to get to the trail a few times lately. A lot of storm damage. KatanaBoy was a bit small, so I packed the 395XP in for over a mile. Met a guy walking a dog. He gave me a funny look, but clearly thought better of saying something to a sasquatch with a big chainsaw over his...

What do you suppose the Nature Conservancy's policy is on leaf blowers? :/: The trail is covered in leaves and small ankle-twisting sticks that are covering up the roots and rocks. Seems only polite to strip it to bare earth with the BR800C.

I missed getting to the trail most of last week. Made it back Saturday, and it was a struggle. Monday and Tuesday were a little better. Today was a huge improvement. Not a PR, but good. I ran (jogged?) longer than I ever have. I actually ran through the first high intensity interval, through the...

Amazed that I get a little faster every trip. I've only been doing this for two months. I'm not signing up for any marathons, but I can jog many times farther than I could a few weeks ago

It was actually cooler this evening. Another 92 day tomorrow, then it cools off a little.

I've been taking it easy the last few days, higher 90's and humid is not to be taken lightly, especially when that's not the norm for us. Missed the trail altogether yesterday. Today I was back on the interval training. Beat my numbers again, and it seemed to take less effort. I just hope I...

Not sure about that. Definitely making improvements. This is one of those what doesn't kill you makes you stronger situations.

I've added interval training to the mix. Interestingly, the numbers are about identical to the previous record, (posted above) but a more intense workout. It is suggested that interval training is good for improving insulin sensitivity.

Beat all the records today. 77F instead of 95F. I still went when it was in the 90s, but my speed was down.

Four 8" cuts, a couple 6" cuts, and a bunch of smaller limbs. Maybe a ten minute detour.

Last week I cut a bigger tree off the trail with the 395xp, but it was 100' from the parking area. KatanaBoy was easier for the 2.5 loop. Got a lot of sawdust in my shoes from the chainsaw wearing shorts.

KatanaBoy has a sling on the pouch. I wondered why, until yesterday. I knew the tree was on the trail, so I brought it with me. Haven't noticed the bird poop, but I'll keep an eye out for it.

Still hitting the trails. Seeing improvements in time and speed every day, and doing it with less effort. Did a new trail today that had some good uphill sections that gave me a good challenge. The charts are always interesting. This was my last time at Drury Preserve, my goto trail. Not only...

Did the 2.46mile Drury Preserve this morning and walked between the roads on my farm tonight for 2.11 miles. (Not Colfax Farm).. I think I might be addicted.

I'm all about building stamina. After the first 6-8 minutes, I can pretty much go full speed for an hour, (or 53:59) which is the longest I've gone so far. On some hills, full speed ain't much. More than an hour, I'm thinking a break and water may be needed.

First 3 mile hike and hit 3.36 mph average. I've decided there may be a fine line between exercising to not die, and dying while exercising. :/:

There is another tree behind the boulder with bark that I have never seen. I'll have to get a pic on the next trip.
