I think that has become pretty standard from what I have seen. So much of our risk mitigation is based on things that might happen but in reality may never and how we as individuals deal with these choices. I can't remember having ever taken the time to release a topping cut with a hand saw...
Reg, you seem to always have a good reason for everything you do and I am sure this is no different. So could you explain why you place your climbing line in that low position. It is not something that I would do in that situation and I am struggling to understand why you feel different.
