    I just cut small enough to use it when I need to. As it works out, I often cut small enough for the mini to drift and lift as well.

    I should mention Sean, that we often start out with a longer hank (300-400') of 1/2" to do the limbs, top and smaller logs. Keeps the weight down on the climber. Once the logs push into about 600 plus lbs, we up grade the line. Use one line to pull up the next one to me. Helps keep the fatigue down.

    Mostly 9/16th and 5/8ths rope, stable braid and tuefelberger. 5/8ths SS blocks and tenex dead eyes. HOBBS and KK devise for catching.

    Sure was a nice and gracious surprise from the home owners. I just mentioned to them, that if they got a few good shots, if they did not mind e mailing some to me. Got a nice thank you and a DVD.... Been a while since we did the job too.

    Thanks all :) Scott, I think you get more big ones than I do :D Some more..... We stopped on this one just above the roof line. Stem had to fit shy of a sidewalk, leech field, septic tank and a drain line ....

    1.5 days with the crew on that one tree. Chip dump site close by made turn around quick. Deck logs on property. Burn duff on site. :) Next tree was next to the house and I needed a gin pole to drift and load share the rigging with, swing the wood off the house. Not my more desired tree close...
