Fact is that they have already cut some of these fallen logs in the past and people can walk right through them. It is pretty much a no brainer. Everything Burnam has pointed out is huge in these woods up here. And in other places as well.

Best to cut right through it and keep people from wandering around much. They have to limit the foot traffic since compaction is a huge problem for new growth. Something they have been battling for some time now.
