    People do it over here also for wild pig, I don't see the attraction in reverting back to neanderthal hunting techniques. The dogs get maimed a fair bit also I believe....

    No mate, I haven't done any bow hunting (nor rifle etc). That does make a lot of sense to me though, especially that its specifically bow hunting where I imagine you need to rely on your senses to let you get within good distance.

    Hey Roger, there's so much gun talk on here I just assumed you shoot em with both depending on the mood/ hungry or not lol. Its now noted you're strictly photography. I'm also guilty of the rock thing, mine was a sea gull.

    I read the first sentence of the owl pic post and was like " who the f shoots owls? ", I then realised he meant shoots pics, nice work. Now I realise he does shoot owls after all, that's fine with me if its for food :)
