maul here too, steel is good, but the other day I was splitting into some beech, I heard a zzzzzzziiiiiiiipp! and a piece of shrapnel had broke off the head of the wedge and struck a shed about 30yds away. Lesson #1, keep them dressed!!:O- Big A
