Nope nope and did I say nope!! In Bermuda when Christmas Day is 70odd and calm and sunny some folks go for a swim, water would be about 65...too cold for me. In Tassie, the water never even GETS to 65, so... NOPE!!!

A few days of summer are on the way, high 20s then 31, 31C for next week. Fire permits have come on, won't take long for all the grass to cure in these temps. Nice to have similar weather for Christmas as what I grew up with, sunny, just warm enough to contemplate a swim, then say nope.

More rain. Our river (Mcquarie) is up to moderate flood level again. SES has been flat out for two days up north. Apparently it's going to snow next week. Gotta love late spring. Our back paddock has 2" of water in places, can't mow. Floods last week caused some major landslides about an hr away.

Massive winter storm hit the state on Saturday night. One person died crushed by a tree, one injured. Lots of trees broken and blown over up north and north west, power was out for 8 hrs for us. Spent Sunday rigging down a huge fallen branch that had lodged just short of falling on water company...

Windy patch and significant rain at the moment. Piles of golden leaves blowing into the driveway and all along the main street. Fire is on now, probably will be from now until spring.

First frost hit on Wednesday, harvested the pumpkins, one weighed 11.5 lbs, the other 13lbs, and a bunch of small ones. Not bad for random seeds planted on a couple of dirt piles down the bottom of the garden and neglected.

28c, arms are getting brown, even broke out the shorts and flip flops. I call it warm here when you can sit in the shade in a breeze in shorts and not be chilly. Happens for about a week or two, but not consecutive days. 😁

Got through 33 and 35c total fire ban ok. Its going to be back down to 19c in a day or two. What about COLORADO!!!! Flippin wildfire one day and snow the next!!!!
