Guess we lost a bobcat today🤬. I don’t have a clue what the boneheads did. This was at one of our dumping and mulch yards we own. The neighbor sent me the pic. He wasted a fire extinguisher while our guy called the fire department. Probably means we have to get a new skid steer before I get a...
Though it’s not popular with some members here, I climb SRT with spurs a lot. This includes rope walking.
@WoodCutr anything on treetards is meant to be a joke.
Not sure. I don’t use the wrench enough to really know. I’ve got at least three wrenches and probably five different tethers. I just didn’t feel like digging for my rope runner today.
Finally used the reon rounds tether I bought years ago. It was ok. Decent sized pin oak that had large dead and suffered storm damage. Sealed the large wounds.
I can usually stay pretty calm with the cars being parked in my way depending on the job and notifications. I stay polite until they are impolite and if they get demanding I then see fit to be not nice.
Well the 650 decided I didn’t put enough money into it yet. Damn key switch (fairly new) decided to stick in the start position and with my earmuffs on did not hear it. After about twenty minutes there was smoke and the starter went kaput. I happen to have a new switch and the starter should be...
Small cherry removal in a bad spot. Below is heavily landscaped along with a scenic walking path and babbling brook. Just to the right and below is an outdoor chapel. I was set up beside the building and behind the privacy fence. Thankfully we could two pick the tree because winds (35mph) were...
My 462 decided to call it quits today. Six years and two months of my abuse finally won out. New one is in the truck now.
Also got all the hydraulics hooked back up on the old mini before I went to get beat up again. Should have it done tomorrow evening as long as nothing comes up
Deep enough that I thought about unhooking the last few hoses and wires and completely pulling the motor out. That seemed not worth the effort just to see what is under there.
Going back together nicely though. I cleaned up everything I could and put the pump back in before class tonight...
Had a meeting early. Got our jobs done by 2:30. Went to start tomorrows job and they had a car parked under the removal and we’re not home so an early day. The boy and I ran the heck out of the rc trucks until I left to watch my oldest play softball. They won. Then I started putting my mini back...
@WoodCutr
I’d attempt it myself or take it to a weld shop except I forgot to mention it’s aluminum. I have a place two and a half hours away that specializes in aluminum fab and repair. I’m hoping to find someone closer. I’ll make some calls tomorrow and sort it out
Don’t ya love it when no one listens? Those jobs kinda validate my expertise though.
The old 650tx lives! Starter was fine. I finally found my book so I could find the starter relay. $25 part and it fired right up after sitting for 10 months. Now to pull the pump to get the bell housing off...
Trying to find motivation with this miserable weather today. I need to move some things in the garage so I can place my old mini skid inside. I’m pretty sure I need to do motor mounts and I know the aluminum bell housing needs some fix for stripped out threads where the pump bolts on. Also...
I took the day off and decided that I needed a haircut. First since 2017. Not sure if my wife will like it or not. Hopefully she recognizes me and doesn’t shoot when I walk in
