What kind of rope is prusik made of?

You can make a single eye split tail (tied or spliced) with hitch cord, just fine. That's what you'll want for tying a tauntline or a Blake's. For the more "high-speed" and customizable hitches (distal, vt, Campbell... etc,) you'll need an eye2eye prussic cord. These can also be tied or spliced...

    ISA International Meeting/Comp

I'll be there! Looking forward to putting a ton of miles on the vintage cycle I picked up last summer! After 11years in the boy scouts, 2 years hitchhiking the country and many more nights sleeping outside on winter vacations... I'm getting a bed and breakfast! I have a fox tail for a keychain...

Any Rope Wrench or Hitch Hiker users here?

I love tree stuff, but can't recall if the rep from sterling, or pctree with ropetek turned me on. Tree gaffs, for tree work. Working in the suburbs, I commonly find myself spiking up removals covered in English ivy, and with the diversity of foliage here in Virginia, I use the tool that is *always* effective. I have a buddy I used to work with, that got convinced to switch to pole gaffs by...

    Ultimate piece of gear

My biggest problem with buying a GRCS (aside from the serious commitment of cash,) is that I have to trust my groundies to use it properly. As a contract climber, I work with several different crews, and pick up random work off of craigslist and such. I always set the port-a-wrap or bollard...

Any Rope Wrench or Hitch Hiker users here?

Bombproof Tech cord I've been climbing on my HH as much as possible, since I got it last fall. I seemed to be burning through hitch cord far more quickly than I do climbing DdRT. I climb a lot, being a freelance production climber, and I've been splicing my own eye2eye's for a few years. They...
