Blaze/bandit is a pretty good option I think. If you check the numbers it's low stretch, it's easy to splice, my ascender haven't shredded it yet, and oh yea it's super cheap. Im quite happy w it
Sean we have lots of these down here, most folks just say red oak or Scarlett.
I have one in my backyard and recently tried to ID it more specifically but couldn't find anything that matches exactly, it's the weird smooth-ish bark without the deep furrows that throws me. Sweet trees though. I'd...
Biggest issue is hi viz gets filthy. Tough to keep a clean pro image if your shirts are dirty, even when they're clean.
Fwiw I prefer hi viz, poly or poly blend, but I just don't expect it to last very long, so don't spend too much.

Bixler, never knew you were a PDX boy, Lake O has some sweet neighborhoods, some good fir stands. Always enjoy your vids. Where abouts in n cal do you hail nowadays?
Thanks for the welcome Evan,
I grew up in Michigan, but I've been on Oahu for the past five years. My wife is from there, my son was born there, i still consider it home.

Nice one reg, always enjoy and learn from your videos.

Sean-Portland is cool, I've been learning a ton that I don't think I would have had the opportunity to learn in Hawaii, although I do...
Hi treehousers, i jumped the gun a bit and didn't introduce myself. I'm Jon, recently moved to portland from Oahu, and I'm learning lots here and enjoying the big trees. I've been doing tree work for a little over 5 years, climbing as soon as I had earned enough to afford some gear. What else...
