which „extras“ do you find essential for a wheel-loader?

I have two BMGs, and one TNA grapple. The hoses on the TNA run through the upper mast, whereas the BMG hoses are all external.

which „extras“ do you find essential for a wheel-loader?

I'm just the opposite. I prefer the dangle grapple, but maybe it's because of the way I load.

    New use for old tool

I must know....WHY??? Honestly curious. I've always used a hydraulic bottle jack to lift wood framing. But the wedges seem perfectly suited for the task.

That looks fantastic. I’ll be trying that out!

    Blackstoners

My “recipe” is a conglomeration of several I’ve seen. I cut the steak and potatoes into bite-size pieces, and cut the onion up as desired. Once the Blackstone is up to temp, I dump the potatoes on, season them liberally with SPG, and add the dome. I’ll lift the dome and flip them every 2-3...

“Planting more trees in cities would save lives.More than a third of all heat-related deaths in the world from 2000 to 2019 could’ve been avoided with more vegetation in urban zones, researchers in Australia reported this week. According to their model of temperatures and greenness across 11,000...

Increasing flora by 30% causing a 1/3 of a degree reduction in temperature....and thereby saving over a million lives....seems a bit far-fetched to me.

    The Official Work Pictures Thread

Had a nice, crispy dead white oak this morning. A tad over 90’ tall, on a bit of a hill, next to a house built partially underground about 35’ away. It had already dropped several big limbs that fortunately missed the house.

    Wall of Shame: Wannabe Experts

Can’t verify, but I saw in the comments on the video Cory posted of the dude getting thrown from the bucket that he lost his left arm at the shoulder and broke several other bones.

You say it’s a “crisp double action”…is it not striker-fired? Now that Glock’s patent has expired, everyone and their brother is turning out clones. I picked up a Canik a while back, and I know a guy who has a Stoeger.

Elm tree that splits into 2 sides, which one to cut first?

Surely he hasn’t forsaken us already? If your ten-year-old needs his tonsils removed, would you post a couple of pics of him saying “AH” on a surgeons forum, asking for advice on how to go about taking them out? 😳

Elm tree that splits into 2 sides, which one to cut first?

Easy, Tiger. No one here is trying to talk down to you. But most here have either witnessed first-hand an injury, or knows someone who has. I went up to rescue a climber in 1988 who cut his hand badly when his chainsaw kicked back. He panicked and was going berserk at the blood. And I once took...

Elm tree that splits into 2 sides, which one to cut first?

I looked at a job for a guy a while back. He’d already looked into renting a lift and taking his tree down himself. I climbed it, took off the large failed limb that was still semi-attached and hanging off the side, hung a rope in it and pulled the rest of the tree over cheaper than the price...
