That why we are porting away in clandestine shops @Jed 😃! We just procured a processing job so I will finally be able to test the JEDI sqr/sqr in some decent size timber. Looks like some ash will be going under the knife
At least there is holding wood ! Some of the EAB infected ash in wny have the centers rotted out! ... The beetle only bores in so far so it must be fungi getting in and causing the damage
As it turns out ... questionable soil was precisely the reason given for the accident ... Outriggers worked until the tipping point was reached and sank into the muck causing the accident ... Deploying Cribbing and mats may have spread the load enuff to avoid the accident ... For falling 40...
Guy down the road just tipped a bucket truck with him 40ft in the air ! Ground must’ve been compromised - Hope the guy makes out alright but that’s a long ways down
... Here’s another gem for your viewing pleasure ... If he had bucked up those limbs and policed the area he wouldn’t have caught it in the family jewels !
After further review it appears he was a few feet off the ground when felling and was secured to the tree by his lanyard - Perhaps there is a valid reason for doing so but I’d NEVER attempt that maneuver ... Always have a planned escape path in case things go squirrelly!
That was a cock-job for sure ! Even with hard hat on he’s gonna have a sore neck , assuming he’s still above ground after that ... When I see videos like this I wonder why a license is required for a gun but not a chainsaw - they can both be very lethal in untrained hands !
