Plowed snow for township in 78-9 until we got the plow truck stuck in road with chains on the tandems, diff lock and 12 tons of gravel. We had just been through that spot about half an hour before. That was just before we put it upside down in a creek. too much speed, about 10 mph. Had no...
We are finally stringing together a couple weeks of the highs in the upper 30's and 40's. Even saying 50 for Sunday after a high of 23 on Saturday. Never boring weather in these parts.
MB, Mid-March of 1968, there was about 3 " of snow on the ground up at Bastrop when we got there on a school trip for forestry class. All the pines below about 3" dbh were forming rainbows. Most sprang back up in a couple of days.
Just got back Friday from a week south of Tucson. Had to put up with that boring sunny, 75 degree weather for the whole week. It must be awful boring to live down there all the time. At least it did not snow on us as it did last year when we visited Tucson. I might be tempted to go back...
It is a little cooler this morning than yesterday. Of course yesterday we were in Tucson, where it had been in the mid 70's all week. Really hard to take.
Note that only 4 states have had a higher record temp than ND from this chart, http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/weather/wheat7.htm
Also note that only 4 states have been colder than ND, http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/weather/wcstates.htm
That puts ND right in the middle temp wise as I see it!!!!
I like the leather Kinco's myself. As you said they don't melt when you use the exhaust of the BC2000 Chipper to warm them up. That is while standing next to the radiator where the fan also blows out. That is why we need some Comm Helmets so I can stand there and "direct" the crew. You...
Temp was about 40 today, 68 degrees warmer than yesterday morning. On the way home today the temp dropped from 36 to 23 in a 2 mile stretch, guess it was a cold front. Wind is supposed to approach 50 mph tonight and tomorrow, so wind chill will drop. Monday it is suppose to be about -60F...
Got back home from Charlotte today. Snow on ground 2" and temps in the teen's below 0. Supposed to warm up into the 30's tomorrow afternoon and stay in the upper 20's for the rest of the week. Had a great time at the show.
More snow last night in the winter that won't end. Should be highs in 50s and lows in upper 30's now, but running about 20 degrees below average so far. A lot of 15' high snow piles again after this past weekend. Anyone need some ice for a really big party? We can fix you right up! We'll...
Snowing here this morning. A little freezing rain mixed in I think. Sounds like this next week will be good for a slow melt, temps in the 30's during the days. That is good when all your rivers run north and the downstream end is still froze solid. Still have 3' of snow in back yard. Last...
Saw this the other day. You can change it to North Dakota and not be far off. Don't all you folks with the boring same-every-day weather patterns envy us in the northern plains?
