Failed installing ring and ring saver

I've got a dan house saver too, hasn't been touched in a year. Like @SeanKroll says, SRT don't really chew up rope. Also, the local oak species are very rope friendly.

2 root pulled red alders. One self-supporting at 60⁰ish, one laid up in the neighbor's hollow as a drum red alder that will be going away.

Sleeves are great. Rope / cambium protection needs are minimal for SRT SRS. Hurray! Leather sleeves will polish with use.

man if i didnt use a friction saver of some sort my ropes would get trashed quick fast and in a hurry. I got a 90ft hank of some kind of 12 strand line in a mystery box that ill use if i really dont wanna bother, but my main rope/ropes are 24 strand. we got some rough bark down here. my dan...

    How'd it go today?

Indeed! I hadn't intended to walk that road today, but as soon as I left the drive way, something told me it would be good to walk up the hill and enjoy the view. As usual, listening to those weird whispers was a good idea.

If it's not strictly necessary, don't worry about installing one. I keep a retrievable on my harness most of the time so I can reposition my TIP when I need to, but it's pretty rare that I try to drag extra crap up the throwline. All the time it takes to fiddle about with all the extra bullshit...

What's the weather like in your neck of the woods?

It's already getting way to damned hot here. Near 6 pm and I'm sweating still.

    How'd it go today?

Lookie what I found on my walk today! Best Made brand, pretty good condition too! Brother Wyatt has informed me that they are quite pricey, over $400.

    In The News...

3 years is plenty long to unjustly shut away those who are a danger to the current political system. That's a huge problem. These days you can't shrug something like that off for the sake of getting through an innocent back log. Why the backlog in the first place? I don't think the jury would...
